The protest began in solidarity with residents of Velsao, who allege railway double tracking work has encroached on private land despite ongoing legal disputes. Locals highlighted hardships caused by debris blocking access roads and drainage channels, worsening conditions during monsoons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Government Criticism<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
GPCC President Amit Patkar condemned the government for proceeding with work despite court cases and Survey of India examination. He accused the BJP government of using police and administrative machinery to push projects while disregarding people\u2019s rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
