C. Venugopal, senior Congress leader Girish Chodankar has been appointed as the new President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The AICC has also appointed three Working Presidents for the GPCC, including M. K. Shaikh, Altone D\u2019Costa and Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira.<\/p>\n<p>Datta D. Naik has been appointed as the Treasurer of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress leadership also appreciated the contribution of outgoing GPCC President Amit Patkar for his dedicated service to the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the new appointments, the Congress President has approved the constitution of various committees for the GPCC.<\/p>\n<p>Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Campaign Committee, while South Goa Member of Parliament Captain Viriato Fernandes will head the Manifesto Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Congress leader Francisco Sardinha has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Co-ordination Committee, with Sunil Kawthankar serving as the Co-Chairperson.<\/p>\n<p>The reshuffle is being viewed as a significant organisational move by the Congress party ahead of upcoming political challenges in the state.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has announced a new leadership team for the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), with Girish Chodankar appointed as President.
