A memento was presented to his daughter, Manuela Maria de Sequeira, in recognition of his visionary leadership in safeguarding Goa\u2019s distinct identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contribution of Bab Shabudad Dessai was also remembered. A memento was presented to his son, Vishal Dessai, acknowledging the role of the iconic Jyot Yatra, which became a symbol of public awakening during the Opinion Poll movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naik also paid tribute to Goem Shaahir Bab Ulhas Buyao, whose powerful songs became the voice of the Janmat Kaul movement. A memento was presented to his wife, Neela Buyao, in recognition of his contribution through music, which continues to remain etched in Goa\u2019s collective memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The occasion also honoured Goa\u2019s internationally acclaimed cartoonist Bab Mario de Miranda during his birth centenary year.
