Panaji, April 27, 2026:
The Panaji Police Station has issued a formal notice under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to Swapnesh Sherlekar, a resident of Mulgao, Bicholim, directing him to appear for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation.
As per the notice (No. PI/PAN/PPS/4177/26), Sherlekar has been summoned to appear before the Investigating Officer at Panaji Police Station on April 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
The notice relates to a case registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, including Sections 189, 189(2), 191(2), 132, 126(2), read with Section 190, indicating that the police are probing serious allegations.
Directions Issued in Notice:
Cooperate fully with the investigation
Do not commit any offence
Do not tamper with evidence or influence witnesses
Appear before police/court as directed
Disclose facts truthfully and submit relevant documents
