Mopa: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary K. C. Venugopal arrived in Goa on Friday and was given a warm reception by leaders and workers of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) at Mopa Airport.

Among those who welcomed him were AICC Goa in-charge Manickrao Thakare, AICC Co-in-charge Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Working Presidents Altone D’Costa and M. K. Shaikh, along with Dr. Pratiksha Khalap, Archit Naik, Rajan Ghate, Wasim Khan, Mangaldas Naik, Shashank Narvekar, Rajesh Verekar, Assiz Noronha, other office-bearers and party workers.

The Congress workers welcomed Venugopal with bouquets and slogans, expressing the party’s resolve to strengthen the organisation in Goa ahead of the upcoming political challenges.

During his visit, Venugopal is scheduled to hold a series of organisational meetings and interact with party leaders to review the party’s preparedness and strengthen the Congress organisation in the state.
