Goan Talent Shines Nationally

Panaji: Goa’s 13-year-old talented artist, Sayee Manesh Gawas, has brought pride to the state by achieving remarkable success at the national level. Sayee secured the First Prize in the Hindi Monoact category at the National Art Talent Search (NATS) 2026, an all-India cultural competition held recently in Pune.

The prestigious national-level competition was organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh. Representing Goa among highly competitive participants from various states across the country, Sayee impressed both the judges and the audience with her outstanding performance.

Sayee participated in the competition under the banner of Goa’s renowned theatre institution Abhivyakti Panaji. She underwent rigorous training and mentorship under acclaimed theatre director and mentor Dr. Saish Deshpande. Her emotional depth, confident stage presence, and brilliant dialogue delivery made her stand out in the competition.

Adding another feather to her cap, Sayee Manesh Gawas has also been officially selected for the prestigious international-level 16th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts 2026, which is scheduled to be held in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Congratulatory messages and wishes have been pouring in from various sections of society, with many hailing Sayee’s achievement as a proud moment for Goa and an inspiration for young artists across the state.
