Panaji, June 29: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Sunday joined BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) Shri B.L. Santhosh and party workers at the BJP headquarters in Panaji to listen to the 135th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat.
Following the broadcast, the Chief Minister said the Prime Minister highlighted India’s steady progress towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), citing the induction of indigenously built naval ships, the successful first flight of the Made-in-India C-295 aircraft, and the successful test of the indigenous Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile as major achievements.
Dr. Sawant said the Prime Minister also appreciated the enthusiastic participation in International Yoga Day and highlighted the country’s growing sporting culture through initiatives such as the Nagaland Baby League. He further noted that institutions like Nalanda University and the Central Sanskrit University are successfully blending India’s ancient knowledge with modern technology.
The Chief Minister said the Prime Minister shared inspiring stories from across the country, including Assam’s Hargila Army conservation movement and Meghalaya’s living root bridges, while also urging citizens to support local artisans by choosing eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols during the festive season.
Dr. Sawant remarked that the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat once again showcased inspiring initiatives from different parts of the country and reinforced the message that every small effort by citizens contributes to the larger journey of nation building.
