Valpoi, June 7: In a significant organisational outreach in the traditionally influential Sattari region, the Congress party held a well-attended Karyakarta Melava of the Valpoi and Poriem Blocks under the leadership of Mhadei District Congress President Mangaldas Naik.
The gathering brought together party workers, office-bearers and senior leaders with a focus on strengthening the Congress organisation at the grassroots level and preparing the party for future political challenges. The enthusiastic participation of workers reflected renewed energy and unity within the party ranks in the region.
Addressing the meeting, AICC Goa In-Charge Manikrao Thakare stressed the importance of a vibrant grassroots organisation and urged party workers to remain closely connected with people’s concerns and aspirations.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar called for collective efforts to strengthen the Congress across Goa and reiterated the party’s commitment to protecting the interests of the people.
GPCC Working President Carlos Alvares Ferreira, Goa Mahila Congress President Pratiksha Khalap, GPCC General Secretary Pradeep Naik and North Goa District Congress President Shashank Narvekar also addressed the gathering. They encouraged party workers to intensify public engagement, work in unity and build a stronger organisational network across the state.
The leaders collectively emphasised that a united Congress backed by a strong cadre base is essential to provide effective leadership and offer a credible alternative to the people of Goa.
The Melava concluded with workers and leaders reaffirming their commitment to expanding the party’s presence in Valpoi, Poriem and across Goa, signalling Congress’ renewed efforts to strengthen its foothold in the Sattari region.
