EDC Records ₹128 Crore Revenue, ₹69 Crore Profit in FY 2025–26

Panaji, 26 August: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant chaired the 409th Board Meeting of EDC Limited, during which the Board took several key policy and financial decisions, including the sanctioning of term loans and review of schemes aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in Goa.

The Chief Minister informed that the Board approved EDC Limited’s consolidated financial statements for FY 2025–26, recording revenue of around ₹128 crore and profit of approximately ₹69 crore.

Sawant appreciated the efforts of the EDC team and its officers for their contribution towards strengthening Goa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

During the meeting, the Board also reviewed the recently amended Mukhyamantri Modified Interest Rebate Scheme. The revised scheme provides an additional 5 per cent rebate for solar projects, aimed at encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in renewable energy.

An additional rebate of up to ₹15 lakh has also been provided for loans sanctioned under the Working Capital Term Loan Scheme.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the Easy Exit Scheme for CMRY borrowers, which is intended to provide relief to eligible entrepreneurs whose businesses have failed. Under the scheme, eligible borrowers will be permitted to repay the principal amount within two years, while the applicable interest will be waived.

Sawant urged EDC officials to ensure that information about the schemes and their benefits reaches every eligible Goan entrepreneur.

He said the initiatives should help encourage entrepreneurship, provide financial relief to deserving borrowers and contribute towards the government’s objective of building a stronger Swayampurna Goa.
