Majestic Casino Director Srinivas Nayak Escapes Firing Attack; Six Rounds Reportedly Fired

Porvorim, Aug 28: Majestic Casino Director Srinivas Nayak reportedly had a narrow escape after unidentified assailants opened fire at him and his security personnel on Friday.

According to preliminary reports, two unidentified men allegedly targeted Nayak and fired around six rounds during the attack. Nayak escaped unhurt, while details regarding any injuries to his security personnel were not immediately available.

The sudden firing incident has raised serious concerns over security, with the motive behind the attack yet to be established.

Porvorim Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are reportedly working to identify and trace the assailants. Further details regarding the circumstances of the firing and the persons involved are awaited.

Police are expected to examine available CCTV footage and other evidence as part of the investigation.

    पर्वरी पोलीस ठाण्याजवळ गोळीबाराची घटना घडल्यानंतर गोवा प्रदेश काँग्रेस समितीचे अध्यक्ष गिरीश चोडणकर यांनी राज्यातील कायदा-सुव्यवस्थेवर प्रश्नचिन्ह उपस्थित केले. पोलीस ठाण्यापासून काही मीटर अंतरावर अशा प्रकारची घटना घडत असेल, तर गुन्हेगारांच्या मनात पोलिसांचा आणि कायद्याचा धाक उरला आहे का, असा सवाल त्यांनी केला. प्रभावशाली व्यक्तीही सुरक्षित नसतील तर सामान्य गोमंतकीयांचे काय, असेही त्यांनी म्हटले.
