MoU Signed to Boost Agricultural Exports at Mopa Airport

Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Goa Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing Board (GAPLM) and GMR Airport Limited, Mopa, marking a significant step towards strengthening Goa’s agricultural export ecosystem.

Under this partnership, a modern pack house and agri-logistics facility will be developed at Manohar International Airport, Mopa. The facility will support grading, packaging and export of Goan agricultural produce in accordance with APEDA standards.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the initiative will improve market access for farmers and traders, reduce post-harvest losses and create new opportunities for agri-business in the state.

Dr. Sawant further stated that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering farmers, increasing their income and strengthening the agricultural value chain in line with the vision of Swayampurna Goa.
