Goa Loses Young Leader: Dr. Ketan Bhatikar Dies After Alleged Snakebite at Anmod

Dharbandora,May 15: Goa was left shocked by the sudden demise of Dr. Ketan Bhatikar, a well-known physiotherapist and active youth leader, who reportedly died after being allegedly bitten by a poisonous snake at Anmod.

As per the statement of his accompanying person Dr. Bhatikar had alighted at Anmod to relieve himself. While bending down to pick up his mobile phone, which had fallen on the ground, he was allegedly bitten by a poisonous snake.

Immediate efforts were reportedly made to tie the affected area and prevent the spread of venom. However, his condition deteriorated soon after. He was then rushed to the Primary Health Centre at Dharbandora, where the attending medical authorities declared him brought dead.

Dr. Ketan Bhatikar was widely known not only for his work as a physiotherapist but also for his active role in public life. He was earlier associated with the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and had contested the 2022 Assembly election, where he lost by a narrow margin.
