Panaji, July 23, 2026: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) has announced that it will intensify its statewide agitation in support of students affected by repeated examination scandals. GPCC President Girish Chodankar declared that the movement will expand to every district, constituency, and block across Goa, ensuring that the voices of students are heard in every corner of the state.

Condemning what he described as the BJP Government’s “harassment and intimidation” of students and youth activists, Chodankar said that detentions and misuse of police machinery cannot silence a generation demanding transparency and accountability.

“Every attempt by the BJP to crush the democratic voice of students has only made our determination stronger. The Goa Congress stands firmly with every student whose future has been jeopardised by repeated examination irregularities. We will not be intimidated, and we will not retreat,” Chodankar asserted.

He accused the government of focusing on image management through publicity campaigns and social media propaganda instead of addressing systemic failures.

“No amount of image washing or publicity exercises can wipe away the truth. Students deserve answers, not advertisements. They deserve justice, not political spin,” he said.

Key Demands of the Congress Movement

• Immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accepting moral responsibility for the scandals.
• Comprehensive discussion in Parliament on the examination scam and systemic failures.
• Withdrawal of FIRs and legal proceedings against students and youth who peacefully protested.

Chodankar emphasized that the agitation is not symbolic but a sustained movement for justice.

“Today, tomorrow, and for as long as it takes, Goa Congress will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with students. We will not rest until justice is delivered and accountability is fixed,” he concluded.
