New Delhi, August 12, 2026: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Shri Yuri Alemao, and AICC In-charge for Goa Shri Manikrao Thakare today called upon AICC General Secretary (Organisation) and Member of Parliament Shri K.C. Venugopal ji in New Delhi.

During the meeting, the leaders held a detailed and constructive discussion on strengthening the Congress organisation in Goa, energising the grassroots network, and further consolidating the party across all 40 Assembly constituencies.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the visit of AICC President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji to Goa on 17 August 2026. Shri Kharge ji is scheduled to interact with Congress booth-level workers, Block Committees, frontal organisations, and District and State office-bearers as part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its organisational machinery from the grassroots upwards.

The leaders emphasised the need for greater coordination, active grassroots engagement, and sustained organisational efforts to build a strong, united and election-ready Congress in Goa.

The meeting reaffirmed the collective commitment of the Congress leadership to strengthen the organisation, empower workers at every level, and take forward the party’s mission with renewed energy and determination.
