Panaji, May 26: The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has withdrawn the permission earlier granted to the “Enough is Enough” movement for holding a public meeting at Azad Maidan on May 30, 2026.
As per an official communication issued by the CCP Administrative Section dated May 25, 2026, the permission granted vide NOC No. F-108/3/2018-CCP/Admn/2026-27/1501 dated May 21, 2026, has been cancelled as the Government is setting up an exhibition at Azad Maidan to commemorate Goa Statehood Day.
The letter addressed to the “Enough is Enough” movement states that any fees paid towards the permission process would be refunded upon submission of the original payment receipt.
The “Enough is Enough” movement had earlier announced a public meeting at Azad Maidan on Goa Statehood Day to discuss several public issues concerning Goa and mobilise public participation.
The sudden withdrawal of permission is likely to trigger political and public debate, especially as the meeting was expected to focus on governance, environmental concerns, and public policy issues affecting Goa.
