Panaji, June 12: A student delegation led by Namdev Shirodkar and Aatrey Bhide met Shri Bhushan K. Savaikar, Director of Higher Education, to discuss issues concerning students under the National Education Policy (NEP) framework, particularly delays in examination results and matters related to backlog examinations.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted concerns regarding the academic progression of students affected by delayed results and sought clarity on the schedule for pending examinations.

Addressing the concerns, the Director of Higher Education informed the delegation that the results of the Third Year NEP batch are expected to be declared by June 27 or 28, subject to the completion of the evaluation and result-processing procedures by Goa University.

The delegation was further informed that re-examinations for backlog students are likely to be conducted shortly after the declaration of the Third Year results. Detailed information regarding the re-examination schedule will be communicated by the concerned authorities and respective colleges in due course.

The student representatives emphasized the need for the timely declaration of examination results and prompt conduct of re-examinations to ensure that students do not suffer academic setbacks or delays in their future educational and career plans.

The delegation expressed appreciation for the constructive interaction with Director of Higher Education Shri Bhushan K. Savaikar and welcomed the proactive approach taken by the department in addressing student concerns. The student representatives reiterated their commitment to working in coordination with the authorities to ensure the timely resolution of issues affecting students and their academic progression.
